Norman acknowledged the imagery’s Jim Crow roots but said he sees nothing wrong with depicting a prominent African-American as a monkey, “We’re not living in the 1940’s,” he said. “Look at him . . . the hairline, the ears — he looks just like Curious George.”

Hey Mike Norman, owner of Mulligan’s Bar and Grill/Mulligan’s Food and Spirits, in Marietta, GA – What if I took an existing photo of an old white lady, who resembles your mother, sucking earnestly on a black man’s penis (and trust me, it would not be hard to find one on the internet) and published it all over the web and THEN sold t-shirts with that same photo with your mother’s name written under it and included a photo of your father on the same t-shirt with him smiling and giving a thumbs-up?

I mean, the image would resemble your mother, so it would be ok — right? Based on your logic, you couldn’t have a problem with that. Could you Mike?
